Background

Green Chemical Science is the use of chemical principles, science and technology to advance society in ways that are benign to the environment and sustainable for the foreseeable future. It seeks to tackle global issues of pollution and sustainability through studies in catalysis, synthesis, toxicology, analytical methodology, materials science and biochemistry.

At the Centre for Green Chemical Science (CGCS), we focus on research, education, links with industry and outreach in Green Chemical Science and sustainability.

Our mission is to provide the foundations for a sustainable future by promoting and facilitating interdisciplinary research, education and public engagement in Green Chemical Science.
